FAQ

How far in advance do I need to book my cake? +

For tiered and wedding cakes, we suggest providing us with a minimum of 2 months' notice. This generous time frame allows for thorough discussions regarding quotes, design details, and the arrangement of a tasting box. Given that we are a small team, our communication may take a bit of time, so the more notice you can provide, the better.

That being said, if you find yourself in need of a cake with a shorter notice, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at info@malibakes.com as we might still have some availability.

Do you offer delivery? +

Delivery for tiered and wedding cakes is available for locations within a 1.5-hour travel radius from our studio. The delivery fee will be determined based on this distance. If you prefer, you are welcome to pick up the cake yourself; however, please be aware that once the cake leaves our premises, we cannot assume responsibility for any damages.

Please note that for cakes with three or more tiers, we highly recommend choosing the delivery option for added peace of mind.

Do you offer tasting box? +

Yes absolutely! We offer tasting boxes for $65, which include 7 delicious flavours our non-vegan menu.

Once you've completed our inquiry form, we'll get in touch to provide you with the available dates for them. Alternatively, you're always welcome to drop by our Fitzroy or Thornbury stores for individual cake slices.
We regularly rotate our custom flavours on a monthly basis, alongside other seasonal cakes.

Where do you source your ingredients? +

Rest assured that our cake is not just a pretty face. Everything is made from scratch in our kitchen with delicious ingredients including Gippsland Jersey Butter, oraganic flour from Wholegrain MillingBurd’s Farm free-range eggs, Callebaut chocolate and fresh local fruits from Berriworx and  Northside Fruit & Veg.
